PinT – People-in-Travel

A monthly report that tracks leaders in the travel business. What they said, what they did, what they must do. Unusually frank and detailed.

As this is a subscription report, the following is not the current edition.

Annette Mann

New leaders at Lufthansa’s airlines

Two new CEOs at Lufthansa Group (LHG) airlines:

Annette Mann, 43, due to take over at Austrian Airlines from March. She currently heads Corporate Responsibility at LHG. She takes over from Alexis von Hoensbroech, CEO since 2018, who is due to become CEO of Canada-based West Jet in Q1 2022. Mann joined LHG in 2003; she has also worked at LHG’s Swiss.

Jens Ritter, 48, due to take over at Lufthansa Airlines (LH) from April. He is currently COO at Eurowings, an LHG subsidiary.

LHG reports he is taking over from Klaus Froese, who plans to return to piloting for LH. Causing confusion, LHG also reports Carsten Spohr as LH CEO, whereas he is actually LHG CEO.
